BLUES CARAVAN 'Ladies Night'

The blues night of the Terrassa Jazz Festival brings together in a special evening three voices from an exceptional category.

Ana Popovic, a singer of Yugoslavian origins who, in only five years of an international career, has appeared in the Festival Peer Bishopstock and Notodden, and has shared the stage with Bernard Allison, Kenny Neal and Michael Hill, on the side has obtained a nomination to the W.C. Handy Blues Awards, a difficult honour for European artists.

Candy Kane, a woman of an intense vital and marginal trajectory, quite similar to the stories that the best blues tell, she came to the blues genre pretty much by accident, and that is where she stayed after being unaccepted by the huge pop record industry, unable to achieve her vital liberty.

Sue Foley is considered one of the best current, active blues artists. Her thirty something years, twenty of them on stage. Where the Action Is, one of her latest albums received the first nomination for a Canadian at the W.C. Handy Blues Awards.
