The Cultural Centre will be the scenario of an exclusive production during the Festival which, for the first time, unites a big band and a symphony orchestra. This ambitious project will bring together a mass of musicians on the stage, all under the direction of German composer, arranger and conductor Peter Herbolzheimer. They will be performing their own compositions as well as suites and soundtracks written for the cinema. The Big Band Jazz Terrassa, conducted by John DuBuclet, has been performing for around seven years in a variety of venues, with different featured guests, and currently has two recordings on the market, one of them directed by Herbolzheimer himself. The Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra, led by Josep Ferré, who is well used to experimenting with all kinds of musical styles, has more than 400 concerts to its credit. This combination of classical music and jazz promises to be a very exciting performance.
